Death
CONCORD — Mrs. Phyllis Furr Coward, 48, of 26 Todd Ave, Concord, died Monday at Cabarrus Memorial Hospital. She had been in declining health 12 years, and seriously ill three months. Born in Lynchburg, Va, July 18, 1924, she was a daughter of Dewey and Gertrude Blevins Furr of Concord. In addition to her parents, survivors include two daughters, Miss Janet Ann Coward and Miss Lynn Coward of the home. Funeral services will be held at 2 pm Wednesday at Lady's Funeral Home Chapel, Kannapolis, conducted by the Rev. John Miller. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery here. The family will receive friends at the funeral home tonight from 7 to 9 o'clock.Endnotes
