Death

G. Marie Furr, 92, of Tyler, passed away on Tuesday, March 31, 2015 in Tyler. Mrs. Furr, a retailed retail clerk, was born on April 27, 1922 in Dallas. She spent most of her life in Texas with the exception of a brief time in California while her husband served in the United States Navy. She has been a Tyler resident for the past 48 years. She loved to draw, paint and was a floral designer. She is survived by son, Gary Furr, and his wife, Linda of Tyler; grandchildren, Tanya and her husband, Brian Merritt of Tyler, Amanda and her husband, Danny Burkham of Tyler and great grandchildren, Clayton and Cohen Merritt, as well as Ethan, Abbi and Aubrey Burkham, all of Tyler. Graveside services will be held at 11 AM, Monday, April 6, 2015 at Tyler Memorial Cemetery, 12053 State Highway 64 West, Tyler; with Reverend James E. Cheatham officiating. Visitation will be held an hour prior to the service at Tyler Memorial Funeral Home.
