Death
Gravestone shows 1950.Remains of Mrs. Mary Barlow Furr, who passed away Thursday evening at 8 o’clock in a Sherman, Texas hospital, will arrive in Brookhaven on the City of New Orleans Saturday morning and be conveyed to Hartman Funeral Home. Funeral arrangements are incomplete but Hartman Funeral Home will be in charge of services and burial will be in the Brookhaven Cemetery. Mrs. Furr was born in Wesson and lived most of her life in the Union Church Community near Brookhaven before moving to Texas. She had been in declining health for sometime. Her survivors include two brothers, W. F. Barlow, McComb; District Atty. E. C. Barlow, Brookhaven; two nephews, Versie and Clarence Barlow of McComb and a niece, Mrs. Wendell Holmes of Magnolia.
