Death
Dr. FRED MEREDITH FURR, 74, of Dandridge, died Thursday, December 14 at Ft. Sanders Park West Medical Center. He was preceded in death by; wife, Nora Grose Furr. Survivors include; daughter, Martha Furr of Maryville; son, Fred M. Furr, Jr. of Knoxville, Clyde L. Furr of Corryton, Sam G. Furr of Woodstock, Georgia; grandchildren, John Michael Furr, Matthew Scott Furr, and Kathryn Elizabeth Furr; sister, Jane of Nashville; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services were held Monday, December 18 at Rose Mortuary Mann Heritage Chapel with Pastor David Bradford officiating. Interment followed Wednesday, December 20 in Jacksboro Cemetery.
