Anna Wylie NewsomeServices for Anna Wylie Newsome of Monticello are 10 a.m., Monday, July 17, at Wilson Funeral Home with burial in Strong Hope Baptist Church Cemetery.
Visitation is Sunday, July 16, from 5-9 p.m. and Monday, July 17, from 9 a.m. until service time at the funeral home.
Mrs. Newsome, 78, died Friday, July 14, 2000, of heart failure at Hardy Wilson Memorial Hospital. She was born in Oma on Jan. 13, 1922, to the late Robert E. and Estelle Furr Guess.
She was a homemaker. She was a member of Strong Hope Baptist Church in Copiah County. She was a member of the W.M.U., the Homemakers Club and the local Eastern Star Lodge
Survivors are her husband, Roscoe M. Newsome of Hazlehurst; a son, Robert Newsome of Shreveport, La.; her daughter, Becky Newsome of Hattiesburg; and her grandchildren, Randall Newsome of New York and Christopher Newsome of Los Angeles.
