Death
MOUNT PLEASANT - Mr. David Brantley "D.B." Harwood, 79, of 6911 N.C. 73 E., Mount Pleasant, died Friday at Northeast Medical Center. Funeral service will be 3 p.m. Saturday at Gordon Funeral Home conducted by the Rev. Earl Barringer. The Harwood family will receive friends from 2 to 3 p.m. Saturday prior to the funeral service. Mr. Harwood was born Sept. 16, 1926, in Cabarrus County, son of the late Daniel Harwood and Bertha Burleson Harwood. He enjoyed gardening and the outdoors. He was preceded in death by his wife, Minnie Fayedene Furr Harwood, and a son, Tommy Joe Harwood. He is survived by two sons, Bobby Harwood and wife, Linda, of Concord and Jimmy Harwood and wife, Sandra, of Mount Pleasant; brothers, Daniel "Junior" Harwood and Glenn "Bud" Harwood, both of Mount Pleasant; sister, Dorothy Voncannon of Mount Pleasant; and grandchildren, Aaron, Melissa and Jason.
