Death
CONCORD - Howard Eugene Furr, 74, of 4178 Roberta Road, Concord, died Monday, April 21, 2003, at his home. The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Hartsell Funeral Home Chapel in Concord. Burial will follow at Roberta United Methodist Church Cemetery, Concord. The family will receive friends from 10 to 11 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Born June 9, 1928, in Cabarrus County, he was the son of the late Matronia Furr Mann. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy. He was the owner/operator of House of Carpets. He was a member of Roberta United Methodist Church in Concord. Survivors include a daughter, Melba Furr Dorton of Columbia, S.C.; a brother, Gilbert Mann of Harrisburg; and a friend, Lester Shoe of Concord.
