Death
EARTH - Ruth Anne Furr, 68, died Monday, Feb. 16, 2004. Services will be at 2 p.m. today in First Baptist Church with the Rev. Jeff Huckeby officiating. Burial will be in Earth Memorial Cemetery by Parsons-Ellis Funeral Home. Mrs. Furr was born July 4, 1935, in Hartshorne, Okla. She married John Gene Furr in Reno, Nev., in October 1952. Survivors include four sons, John Furr of Dimmitt, Jim Furr and Randy Furr, both of Earth, and Robert Furr of Lubbock; a daughter, Cammy Smith of Mayes, Ind.; a sister, Betty Locastro of Carruthers, Calif.; three brothers, Robert Willis of Carruthers, Tony Willis of Bishop, Calif., and Tommy Willis of Coalinga, Calif.; 13 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. The family suggests memorials be to the music fund at First Baptist Church or Castro County Hospice.Amarillo Globe-News, Feb. 18, 2004
