Death

MONROE - The Rev. Bobby D. Furr, 66, died Saturday, June 5, 1999, at his home. Funeral service will be 11 a.m. Monday at McEwen Funeral Home Colonial Chapel in Monroe, with the Rev. Joe Marze officiating. Burial will follow in Lakeland Memorial Park. He was a native of Concord and a U.S. Army veteran. Surviving are wife, Marion T. Furr; son, Ray Furr of Greensboro; daughter, Pat F. Garren of Asheboro; sisters, Barbara Adcock of Charlotte and Dorothy Rape of Monroe; three grandchildren; two great-grandchildren. The family will be at the funeral home 7-9 p.m. Sunday. Memorials may be made to Brush Arbor Baptist Church, c/o Scott Yow, 1324 Macedonia Church Road, Monroe, N.C. 28112.
