ALBEMARLE — Eddie Ray Furr, 44, of 305 Kenwood Ave. Wilmington. formerly of Albemarle, died Thursday, Nov 12, 1992, at New Hanover Regional Medical Center in Wilmington. The funeral will be conducted at 2 pm Sunday in Lefler Memorial Chapel of Hartsell Funeral Home. Officiating will be the Rev Glenn Holland, the Rev Tim Sheridan and the Rev Steve Tucker. Burial will be in Salem United Methodist Church cemetery. The family will be at the funeral home from 7 to 9 this evening. Born March 30, 1948 in Albemarle, Furr was a son of Arthur James and Hazel Allene Andrews Furr of Albemarle. A salesman for Empire Distributors of North Carolina, he was a veteran of the US Army. Surviving, in addition to his parents, is a sister, Barbara F Burnett of Badin.Endnotes
