Death

Mrs. Louise H. Shuffler, 49, of 2108 Camp Greene Street, died Thursday, October 11, 1990 at Presbyterian Hospital. Funeral services will be held 11:00 A.M. Monday October 15, 1990 at McEwen Charlotte Chapel, with Dr. Jerald Bearden and the Reverend Ralph Shuffler, officiating. Interment will follow at Forest Lawn Cemetery. Mrs. Shuffler was born December 24, 1940 in Mecklenburg Co., the daughter of the late Lamuel R. and Dorothy Hargett Furr. She was a secretary for the Archie Hargett insurance Agency. Mrs. Shuffler was a loving wife, mother and grandmother and was known to many people outside of the family as a “second mom”. She was there for anyone who needed a helping hand and will be fondly remembered by many. Survivors include her husband, Gordon Shuffler, Jr.; two sons, Gene Shuffler and Robin Shuffler, both of Charlotte; one daughter, Mrs. Dottie Ward of Charlotte; three brothers, Harvey J. Hargett, Archie L. Hargett and Jerry Hargett, all of Charlotte; one sister, Mrs. Dorothy Inks of Charlotte; eight half-brothers and half-sisters; one grandson, Michael Brandon Ward of Charlotte. Pallbearers will be Walter Hargett, Mike Hargett and Timmy Hargett, Roy Johns, Mike Todd, Sr., Dwayne Alexander. Visitation is 7:00-9:00 P.M. Sunday at McEwen Charlotte Chapel. Memorials may be sent to the Presbyterian Hospital Intensive Care Unit, 200 Hawthorne Ln., Charlotte, NC 28204. In this way, the family can extend a special thanks to those doctors and nurses who dedicated so much loving time to their mother and wife.
