Brett was a vivacious, funny, light of your day young man. He was first introduced to organ donation by a gentleman in his Church, who had a heart/lung transplant. He would often talk about this gentleman and had numerous personal conversations with him. We had many discussions with Brett about organ donation, and were able to grant his last wish.

GASTONIA — Mr. Brett Hefner Furr, 22, Wix Corp. employee, died July 27, 1988, at Gaston Memorial Hospital as a result of an automobile accident. Funeral is 2 p.m. today at First ARP Church. Burial will be 3:30 p.m. at Sugaw Creek Presbyterian Church cemetery, Charlotte. Survivors are his father, Ralph Furr of Charlotte; mother, Mrs. Mary Ann Cory; brother, Shawn Furr; sisters, Mrs. Katrinia Carpenter, Miss Tonya Furr; stepfather, Thomas Cory. Carothers is in charge.
