KANNAPOLIS - Mrs. Rose Furr Bumgarner 68 of 812 Jet St. died Monday morning at Cabarrus Memorial Hospital. The funeral will be 4 p.m. Wednesday in Lakewood Baptist Church conducted by the Rev. R.B. Turner pastor. Burial will be in Carolina Memorial Park. The family will be at Linn-Honeycutt Funeral Home in China Grove tonight from 7 to 9 o’clock. The body will be placed in the church 30 minutes before the service. Born Feb. 8, 1913 in Stanly County Mrs. Bumgarner was a daughter of the late Albert and Carnie Jenkins Furr. She was a member of Lakewood Baptist Church and was a housewife. Survivors include her husband Clarence Bumgarner, four stepsons, Clarence T. Bumgarner Jr. of China Grove and Wesley Thurmon and Larry Bumgarner all of Kannapolis, one stepdaughter Mrs. Geraldine Blocker of Salisbury, four brothers Rey Furr of Stanfield, Johnnie Furr of Kannapolis, and Albert Furr Jr. and Bobby Furr both of Concord, six sisters: Mrs. Eloise Dawson of Concord, Mrs. Pat Quarante of California and Mrs. Omi Mullins, Mrs. Emma Gulledge, Mrs. Bessie Smith and Mrs. Rachel Skidmore all of Kannapolis 13 stepgrandchildren and six step great grandchildren.
