LOCUST — Lora Faye Efird Furr, 59, died Monday at Stanly Memorial Hospital in Albemarle. The funeral will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at Providence Church of God conducted by the Rev. Don Whichard and the Rev. S. W. Avery. Burial will be in the church cemetery. The family will be at Hartsell Funeral Home in Albemarle tonight from 7 to 9. Born Sept 3, 1924, in Stanly County, she was a daughter of the late James and Hilda Eudy Efird. She was a homemaker and attended Providence Church of God. Survivors include her husband, J.C. Furr, a daughter, Nova Furr of Locust, and a sister, Grace Hartsell of Stanfield.Endnotes
