Death
FURR, MR. R.K. FURR passed away Friday in Tyler at the age of 80. He was born August 14, 1922 in Mt. Joy, Texas to the late Lawson Berry and Nancy Cooper Furr. He married the former Juanita Fay Reid on March 3, 1967. Mr. Furr retired from the Yellow Transit Motor Freight, was a member of the Teamsters Association and Volunteer Fireman with the Newsome VFD. Mr. Furr was preceded by brothers, Clovis C. Furr, Manciel Furr, sisters, Lois Gillian and Amor Lee Possible. Survivors include, his wife of 36 years, Juanita Reid Furr of Newsome; son and daughter-in-law, Leonard B. Furr and Pamela McLaughlin of Leesburg; daughters and sons-in-law, Linda and Bob Prince of Garland, Patricia Ann and Travis Smith of Duncanville; grandchildren, Leonard Bryan Furr, Trendi Luna, Tasha Furr, James Kevin Mooney, Stacy Wayne Mooney, Tonia Lassen, Timothy Travis Smith, Paul Jeffery, Jerimah Jason Smith; twenty six great grandchildren and four great great grandchildren. Visitation will be Sunday evening, April 20th, from 6 pm until 8 pm at Beaty Funeral Home and services are scheduled for Monday, April 21st at 2 PM at Beaty Funeral Home Chapel with interment being in Maple Springs Cemetery in Camp County. Pallbearers: Craig, Deaton, David Deaton, Kenny Weems, Don Burton, Mike Lawrence, Ricky Bennett. Honorary Pallbearers: Don Lindley, Paul Bennett. In Lieu of flowers, the family has requested donations may be made to these charities, American Heart Association, Kidney Foundation, or Diabetes Foundation. Beaty Funeral Home 816 W.
