CONCORD - Margaret Shinn Hartsell, 86, of 7520 Barrier-Georgeville Road, Concord, died Tuesday March 25, 2003, at NorthEast Medical Center. The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Wilkinson Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow at St. Martin Lutheran Church. The Rev. Loyd Ginn will officiate. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 tonight at Wilkinson Funeral Home. Born September 9, 1916, in Cabarrus County, she was the daughter of the late Luther T. and Flora Furr Shinn. She was retired from Cannon Mills after 35 years of service. She was a lifelong member of St. Martin Lutheran Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Colon J. Hartsell and a son, Bobby H. Lefler. Survivors include a son, Carl A. Lefler of Concord; a daughter, Carolyn Lefler Cress of Concord; eight grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren. Memorials may be made to St. Martin Lutheran Church Cemetery Fund 5469 Hwy 200, Concord, NC 28025. Wilkinson Funeral Home is handling the arrangements of Mrs. Hartsell.
