CONCORD -- Kenneth Cicero Furr, Jr., 71, of 603 Ocean Boulevard, Carolina Beach, NC and 284 Kerr Street, Concord, died Thursday, June 19, 2003 at New Hanover Regional Medical Center in Wilmington, NC. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at Hartsell Funeral Home, Concord, Rev. Allen Scott officiating. Burial will follow in Carolina Memorial Park. The family will receive friends on Saturday from 12:30 p.m. until 2 p.m. at the funeral home. Born July 24, 1931 in Cabarrus County, NC, he was son of K.C. Furr, Sr. and the late Pearl Atwell Furr. He was a teacher in the Cabarrus County School System, a counselor at Jackson Training School for Boys, and a member of McGill Baptist Church. Survivors are his father, K.C. Furr, Sr. of Carolina Beach and Concord; brother, Dr. Hal E. Furr and wife Montye of Salisbury, NC; nephew, Bradley A. Furr and wife Mandy of Charlotte, NC; and niece, Stacy Furr Wilson and husband Jeff of Charlotte. Hartsell Funeral Home, Concord, is serving the Furr Family.
