Death

Lance Foster Furr, 78, of Concord, passed away Saturday, September 21, 2019 at home with his family beside him. Mr. Furr was born October 19, 1940 in to the late Roland Foster Furr and Margaret Ann Furr. He worked at Collins and Aikman for 36 years. He graduated from Hartsell School in 1960. Mr. Furr served in the US Army Reserve for 6 years. He enjoyed spending time outside with his family, and spending time with his Brimgham Rollers. The family would like to thank Hospice and Dr. Burk for the help that they gave. Services are incomplete at this time and will be posted at a later date. Survivors include wife, Lunda Linker Furr of 50 years; daughter Lunda Michelle Furr of Wadesboro ;son, Lance (Pam) Foster Furr Jr. of the home; 2 grandsons, Travis (Whitney) Lee Pope and Daniel Jacob (Alexa) Sims of the home, granddaughters Hannah Revis and Sierria Collins. He is also survived by 5 great grandchildren; Julie Woodward, Derrick Woodward, Adriel Sims, Jay Sims and Jace Sims; brother Roland (Eloise) Eugene Furr of Rayford. Hartsell Funeral Home of Concord is serving the Furr family.
