Death
Mrs. Jennie Covington Furr of Charlotte died Aug. 30, 1994, at White Oak Manor. Funeral is 2 p.m. Thursday at Sharon Memorial Park. Visitation is 7 to 8:30 tonight at Harry and Bryant Funeral Home. Mrs. Furr, a Rockingham native, retired from Mecklenburg County Department of Social Services as a bookkeeper after 20 years. She was a member of Amity Presbyterian Church and had attended Queens College. Survivors are her husband, Boyette; son, David Furr; daughter, Mrs. Jennilynn Lackey-Stafford; brother, Winston Covington of Matthews; sisters, Mrs. Ruth Thomas of Greensboro, Mrs. Sarah Black; one granddaughter.
