Death
CHARLOTTE, Oct. 23. — Funeral services for Mrs. Margaret Grier Furr, ninety-one, of 211 Victoria avenue, who died yesterday morning at her home here after an extended illness, were held this afternoon at three o’clock at the chapel of Z. A. Hovis and Son. Rev. J. G Kirckhoff of Tenth Avenue Presbyterian church officiated and interment followed in Elmwood cemetery. Serving as pallbearers were James F. Kelly, R. T. Thompson, C. L. Eliott, H. J. Auten, F. M. Kimbrell and A. R. Pegram. Mrs. Furr was born January 22 1860, in Rowan county, the daughter of the late Isaac Harris Grier and Margaret Parks Grier. She moved to Charlotte when she was a young girl and had lived here since that time. She was the wife of the late Chalmers V. Furr, and was a member of Tenth Avenue Presbyterian church. Surviving Mrs. Furr are two sons, Baxter G. Furr of Charlotte and Oscar H. Furr of Hickory; and four nieces Miss Mary Frazier, Miss Irene Frazier, Mrs. R. H.
