Death

WILMINGTON — Elzena Widenhouse “Maw” Harvey of Wilmington, died Friday, July 4, 2003, at her residence. She was born in Concord on June 1, 1926, the daughter of the late Augustus and Marie Furr Widenhouse. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Bob Harvey and a grandson, Vance Thompson. Surviving are a daughter, Marsha Harvey of Wilmington; two granddaughters, Ange Bender and her husband Jeff of Jacksonville, and Heather Morse and her husband David of Ocean Isle Beach; two great-grandchildren, Myah and Maisy Morse; two sisters, Nancy Barrow and husband, Tom of Lake Norman, and Linda Fink and husband Larry of Concord. Memorial services will be held at 4 p.m. Monday, July 7, 2003, at Coble Ward-Smith Funeral Service Oleander Chapel in Wilmington by the Rev. Robert J. Bauman. The family will receive friends after the service at the funeral home. The family would like to express special thanks to Dr. Marsha Fretwell and Mrs. Lou Ann Wilson for all their acts of love and kindness shown to Mrs. Harvey and her family.
