Death
M’KINNEY (sic), July 26. — Mr. and Mrs. Robert N. Furr of the Foote Community, west of McKinney, have learned from the Navy Department that their son, Jim Hickey Furr, water tender, second class, is missing in action. He had seen service on the Helena, lost in the first battle of Kula gulf in the Solomons. Born in Collin County May 19, 1923, he enlisted two and a half years ago and had been in nine major engagements.
