KANNAPOLIS - Charles G. Sechler, 78, of 1702 Brook Ave., died Friday, July 7, 2006, at NorthEast Medical Center. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Monday in Kimball Memorial Lutheran Church. The Rev. Richard Rhoades and Dr. Hoke Ritchie will officiate. Interment will follow at Carolina Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at Lady's Funeral Home from 7 to 9 tonight. Mr. Sechler was born May 1, 1928. in Cabarrus County, a son of the late Harry Andrew Sechler and Pearl Furr Sechler. He was a member of Kimball Memorial Lutheran Church, a veteran of the U.S. Air Force and retired from Facilities Management at NorthEast Medical Center after 29 years employment. Survivors include his wife, Margaret Hooper Sechler; a son, Bill Sechler and his wife, Lynda, of Rockwell; a daughter, Tammy S. Kilby and husband, Tom, of Kannapolis; three grandchildren, Robert Hill, Jennifer Ridgell and husband, Chris, and Kaitlyn Kilby; and three great-grandchildren, Britny Hill, Landon Ridgell and Kamden Ridgell. Memorials for Mr. Sechler may be made to Kimball Memorial Lutheran Church, 101 Vance St., Kannapolis, NC 28081. Lady's Funeral Home is assisting the family of Mr. Sechler with funeral arrangements.
