Death
Kosciusko, Oct. 12 — Funeral services were held Thursday at Smyrna Church for Mrs. Bessie Parrot Gilliland who died at her home in the Smyrna community. The Rev. E. L. Jackson, pastor of the First Presbyterian Church officiated and burial was in the Church Cemetery. Mrs. Gilliland, a native of this county, was born September 16, 1888. She was a member of the Presbyterian church. Besides her husband, J. W. Gilliland, she leaves one son, W. S. Gilliland; two daughters, Mrs. C. P. Wise, Dodd City, Texas; Mrs. Johnny Eade, Newellton, La: one brother, J. E. Furr, Tallulah, La; one sister, Mrs. W. E. McMinn. Philadelphia.Clarion-Ledger, Jackson, Mississippi, October 13, 1946
