Death
Samuel D. Furr, of Kosciusko, brother of J. B. Furr of Jackson, died at his home late Thursday following a long illness. Funeral services were held from the Jerusalem Baptist church Saturday with the Rev. Guy Moore, assisted by the Rev. Jodie Moore and the Rev. Farr, officiating. He was a lifelong resident of Attala county. Other survivors are his wife, Mrs. Vesta McAdams Furr, Kosciusko: a daughter, Mrs. Jack Nowell, Kosciusko; a son, Harvey Furr, Dossville; a sister, Mrs. Tom Hudson, Louisville; and four grandchildren.Clarion-Ledger, Jackson, Mississippi, January 16, 1951
