Death
ALBEMARLE — James Coy Furr, 58, of Route 3, died in, Cabarrus Memorial Hospital Sunday. The funeral will be 4 pm Tuesday in Paul's Crossing Baptist Church in Stanly County conducted by the Rev. Sam Lesley, the Rev. Bobby Mowery and the Rev. Eugene Shinn. Burial will be in Stanly Gardens of Memory with military graveside rites conducted by the Stanly County DAV. The family will be at Hartsell Funeral Home in Albemarle tonight from 7 to 9 o'clock. The body will be placed in the church 30 minutes before the service. Born April 3, 1922, in Stanly County, Mr. Furr was a son of the late Albert F. and Sarah Eudy Furr. He was a member of Paul's Crossing Baptist Church, was a life member of the DAV Chapter 12 of Stanly County, was a World War II veteran, and was employed by Cannon Mills, Plant No. One. Survivors include his wife, Blondeina Raymer Furr, one son, David Furr of Rt. 1, Mt. Pleasant, one daughter, Mrs. Norman Helms of Rt. 1. Oakboro, three brothers, Roy and Clayton Furr, both of Albemarle and John B Furr of Salisbury, and four grandchildren.Military
