Death
CONCORD — Mrs. Alice Augustus Furr, 79, of 18 Dulin street died Wednesday at her home. Funeral services will be conducted at 4 p. m. today at Kerr Street Baptist church by the Rev. Claude Connell. Survivors include: one daughter, Mrs. G. W. Nation of Concord; and one brother, Seaf Herrin of Rt. 1, Concord. A native of Cabarrus county, Mrs. Furr was a daughter of Dan Herrin and Mrs. Glaine Honeycutt Herrin. She was the widow of John E. Furr. The body will be placed in the church 30 minutes prior to the service to lie in state. Burial willbe in West Concord Cemetery.
