Death

Edna Harrison Furr, 84, of 176 Marshdale Avenue, died Tuesday, May 13, 2003. Funeral service is 3 PM Friday, May 16, at Covenant Presbyterian Church, with Reverend Gaye Brown officiating. The family will receive friends at Wilkinson's Funeral Home Thursday evening from 6:30-8:30 PM, and will be at 176 Marshdale Avenue the remaining time. Mrs. Furr was born on May 2, 1919, in Concord, NC. she was a member of Covenant Presbyterian Church, and was preceded in death by her husband, William Henry Furr. Survivors include her daughters, Alice Brafford and husband, David, of Concord, Rose Elizabeth Furr of the home, Ann Blackwelder and husband, Chip, of Concord, and Jane Croucher and husband, Robert, of Mystic, CT; three granddaughters, Rosalyn Brafford, and Kellie and Katherine Blackwelder, all of Concord; two sisters, Neely Byrd of Cayce, SC, and Doris Goodwin of Chapin, SC; and one brother, William Harrison of Metairie, LA. Memorials may be made to Hospice of Cabarrus County, PO Box 1235, Concord, NC 28026, or to Covenant Presbyterian Church, 731 Union Street S., Concord, NC 28025. Wilkinson Funeral Home is serving the Furr family.
