Death
Ruby L. Williams A resident of San Lorenzo Ruby L. Williams, 93, passed away at home with her family on Saturday, August 14, 2010. She was very proud of being an Okie from Muskogee, OK and working at the shipyard as a "Rosie the Riveter" during World War II. She went on to work for Woolworths for 20 years until she retired. She loved her garden, wrestling and the TV series Walker, Texas Ranger. She is survived by her children, James David Williams and Linda Brantley both of San Lorenzo. She had many grandchildren, Mike Silveira of San Lorenzo, Jamie Silveira of North Carolina, Ken and Scott Williams of Washington, James Jr. and Phillip Williams of Colorado and Susan and Matt Clifton of Pleasanton. She also had many great-grandchildren & one great-great- grandchild. Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 PM on Monday, August 23, 2010 at Grissom's Chapel & Mortuary, 267 E. Lewelling Blvd., San Lorenzo. Funeral services will take place at noon on Tuesday at the mortuary. Ruby will be laid to rest at Mountain View Cemetery in Oakland.
