Death
Mrs. Turey Furr Reeves, mother of Mrs. R. C. Hill, of Albemarle, and widow of Samuel Reeves, of London, died at the home of her son, Henry W. Furr, at Badin Friday evening. Mrs. Reeves was ill for only a short time, having suffered a heart attack. A native of Union county, a daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. William B. Hinson, Mrs. Reeves was slightly over 72 years of age, having been born May 24, 1862. In early womanhood she was married to Jackson Furr of this county, who died some 18 years later. Two children survive this union, they being Mrs. Hill and Henry W. Furr, the latter of Badin. Her second marriage was to the late Samuel Reeves, who died some two years ago. The deceased was well-known in various sections of the county, and had many qualities which endeared her to all. She was a member of New London Baptist church, and prior to her removal to Badin was one of its most faithful members. Funeral service was held from Badin Baptist church Sunday afternoon at 3 o'clock, with the pastor, Rev. L. D. Munn, officiating, and burial was in Fairview cemetery here.Stanly News and Press, Albemarle, North Carolina, November 5, 1935
