Death
GOLD HILL, NC -- Marvin "Dave" Davis, 68, of 845 Morgan Road, died Thursday (March 11, 2004) at Presbyterian Hospital. Born Sept. 22, 1935, in New Albany, Ind., Mr. Davis was a son of the late Marvin and Viola Llewellyn Davis. He served in the Army, Air Force and Navy and retired from the Navy. He was a member of American Legion Post 51. Survivors include wife, Kathy Furr Davis; sons Jeremy Davis of the home, Gary Davis and Jeff Davis, both of Gold Hill; daughter Jamie Davis of China Grove; and seven grandchildren. Services: 11 a.m. Monday at Wilkinson Funeral Home chapel with the Rev. Collie Howard officiating. Burial with full military honors at 1 p.m. Monday at National Cemetery in Salisbury. Visitation: 4 to 6 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home and at other times, at the home of Gary Davis, 1040 Triple D Drive.Endnotes
