Death

Doris F. Morgan, 86, of Richfield, passed away Monday, June 4, 2018 at her home. Mrs. Morgan was born July 21, 1931 to the late Luther and Maggie Belle Furr. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by numerous brothers, sisters, and half siblings. Doris loved many things in her life such as, working in her flower gardens, her pet Boston Terrier, but will best be remembered as a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. The family will receive friends from 2:00 pm - 2:30 pm, on Friday, June 8, 2018 at Hartsell Funeral Home - Albemarle. A graveside service will be conducted at 3:00 pm at Bear Creek Primitive Baptist Church, 22182 Canton Rd., Albemarle, officiated by Rev. Nathan Hamill. Survivors include; sons, Kenny Morgan and wife Katherine of Newport News, VA, Rodney D Morgan; grandsons, Matthew Morgan, Marcus Morgan, Sr. and wife, Didy; great-grandchildren, Cindora, Marcus, Jr; sister, Rella Mae Morgan, former husband, Paul K. Morgan, Sr., as well as, several nieces and nephews. Hartsell Funeral Home of Albemarle is serving the Morgan family.
