LEXINGTON — Mrs. Lizzie Furr Kennon, 81, of 1509 S Main St, was dead on arrival Sunday at 12:30 pm in Lexington Memorial Hospital. The funeral will be 11 am Tuesday at Predmont Funeral Home Chapel conducted by the Rev. Dearl Bunce Burial will be in Lexington City Cemetery. The family will be at the funeral home tonight from 7 to 9 o'clock. Born Sept 30, 1900, in Cabarrus County, she was a daughter of the late Jason H. and Laura Linker Furr. She was retired from Dixie Furniture Company and was a member of Coggins Memorial Baptist Church. Her husband, Acie Rie Kennon, preceded her in death. Survivors include two sons, James H. Kennon, with whom she made her home and Earl Kennon of 1505 S. Main St. Lexington, one daughter, Mrs. Leroy ‘Rose Mae’ Fitzgerald of Route 1. Linwood, one brother, Ira Furr of Concord. Three sisters, Mrs. Mae Herzog of Tampa, Fla., Mrs. Glaner Stallings and Mrs. Lillian Hinson, both of Concord six grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren.
