Death
KANNAPOLIS -- Mary Louise Furr, 80, of 1214 Thomas Ave., Kannapolis, died Tuesday, September 25, 2001, at Big Elm Nursing Center. The funeral will be 11 a.m. Friday at Hartsell Funeral Home in Concord. Burial will follow at Cold Water Baptist Church Cemetery. The Revs. James Masters and Rodney Quesenberry will officiate. The family will receive friends tonight from 6 to 8 p.m. at Hartsell Funeral Home in Concord. At other times the family will be at the home on Thomas Ave. Born Aug. 7, 1921 in Mecklenburg County, she was the daughter of the late Jesse Williams and Belle Williams. She was employed by Pillowtex, Plant 6 as a weaver. She attended Homeland Baptist Church and was a long time resident of the Roberta community. She was preceded in death by her husband, Lewis William Furr. Survivors include her son, Billy Ray Furr and his wife Judy of Kannapolis; a daughter, Barbara and he husband Tim Tucker of Concord; six grandchildren, Angie Raeker, Tracie Hartsell, Melanie Edsell, Kathy Odom, Kelly Wetter, and Brent Furr; and 11 great-grandchildren.
