Death
Edvige "Eddie" Oliver, 77, of Huntsville passed quietly away at home Monday. Eddie was a loving mother and sister and was a kind and compassionate friend. She was preceded in death by her mother, Evelyn Furr, brother, John G. Furr Jr., and daughter, Heather Oliver. She is survived by her daughters, Toni O. Carrier of Tampa, Fla., and Nancy O. Davis of Athens; son, Steve LaFontaine of Arkansas; brother, Glenn Furr of San Francisco; nieces, Mary O'Donnell of South Carolina and Lori Furr of Pennsylvania. A memorial service will be held at Jackson Way Baptist Church at noon today with Dr. Garry Jordan officiating. Family and friends are welcomed. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the United Way of Huntsville. Arrangements are being handled by Spry Funeral Home of Huntsville.Published by The Huntsville Times on Jun. 23, 2005
