Death
He died without a will. Therefore, the estate was divided equally between all the heirs with George P. Furr as administrator of the estate. The papers are very interesting. Deeds dated back to George Reed deeding land to Israel Furr. It's hard to read alot of it as the deeds are handwritten. Everything regarding the settlement of the estate (land and personal property) is included. What was in the house, what it sold for and who it was sold to. My goodness, everything was cheap back then. A mule sold for $12.00. They sold everything down to the sheets and jars. Receipts for everything.Endnotes
