DEVISES AND BEQUESTS
1) Decent burial, payment of funeral expenses and debts from estate.
2) To wife Susan C. Furr tract of land purchased from Orchard L. Smith, adjoining
M.M. Furr and the Cabarrus Mining Company; all personal property as long as she
remains widow; if she remarries, then all real and personal property to be sold and
divided equally among wife and children.
3) Wife has power to sell or buy any of the personal property so as not to defraud
any heirs.
4) Wife has right to sell the tract of land mentioned in item 2 above, with stipulation
that half of the proceeds should be used to buy another tract of land which can
be hers as long as she is a widow, otherwise to be sold and divided equally among
wife and children.  The other half of the proceeds to be divided equally among 
wife and children.   
5) Executor is to sell the tract of land "I now live on" to pay debts.  If there is a
deficiency remaining, other personal property to be sold to pay debts.  If the sale of
land results in a surplus after satisfying debts, then the surplus to be used by
wife and family.
6) The tract of land in item 5 is to be sold on the premises and such sale to 
remain open until it brings a fair value on a credit of six months with 8% interest 
unless paid in cash.
