Death
Lowell Mason Ferguson, Sr., 78, of Mt. Pleasant, formerly of Concord, past away on Thursday February 15, 2007 at home with his family by his side. The family will receive friends from 2 to 3:30pm at Highland Baptist Church with the funeral following at 3:30 at with the Rev. J.W. “Buck” Canup, Rev. Leonard Aycock and Pastor Ralph Hagar officiating. Burial will follow at West Concord Cemetery. Mr. Ferguson was a member of Highland Baptist Church and was a US ARMY Veteran having served in WWII in Germany. He was retired from the Charlotte Pipe Foundry. Lowell also owned and operated Ferguson’s Barber Shop on Roberta Road in Concord for many years. He was born on August 27, 1928 in Mecklenburg County to the late Otto and Pauline Furr Ferguson. He was preceded in death by 2 brothers Gerald and Boyd Ferguson. Mr. Ferguson is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 57 years Nell Kennedy Ferguson, one daughter, Mrs. Vickie Kee and husband Walter of Mt. Pleasant, one son, Mr. Lowell M. Ferguson, Jr., and wife Vicki of Mt. Pleasant. One sister, Virginia Gibson and husband Richard of Virginia, 3 Brothers Ike Ferguson and wife Josephine, Joe Ferguson and wife Betty all of Stanfield, and Lane Ferguson and wife Myra of Walhalla, South Carolina. Three Grandchildren, Tammy Kee, Chris Ferguson and wife Jeanna and Ray Ferguson and wife Natalie all of Mt. Pleasant. Two Great-Granddaughters: Mary Margaret Ferguson and Kirsten S. Ferguson. Special Aunt Colon Efird, Bedie June White, and uncle Tom Furr The family would like to thank all the nurses and the staff of Hospice for all their care and support.
