Death
PRATTSVILLE -- C.M. Lenard, 74, of Prattsville, died Sunday at Hot Spring County Medical Center at Malvern. He was born May 8, 1930, at Cherry Hill, a son of the late Coleman M. Lenard and Polly Miller Lenard. He worked for the Grant County Road Department for six years before retiring. He was a member of Sweet Home Missionary Baptist Church at Prattsville. Survivors include his wife, Shirley Tarkington Lenard, whom he married on July 25, 1958, at Hot Springs; two sons, C.M. "Bud" Lenard of Prattsville and Dennis Lenard of Hot Springs; three daughters, Thelma Watson of Sheridan, Jamie Lenard of Prattsville and Melanie Arnold of Woodland, Wash.; four brothers, Boyd Lenard of Grants Pass, Ore., Jim Lenard of Glendale, Ore., Bill Lenard of North Zulch, Texas, and Marvin Lenard of Broken Arrow, Okla.; five grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Sweet Home Missionary Baptist Church with the Revs. Don Goodman and Brad Warren officiating. Burial will be in Marvin Chapel Cemetery near Sheridan by Buie Funeral Home at Sheridan. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.Pine Bluff Commercial, November 11, 2004
