Amedio was baptised "Amadeo deAngelis." A teacher about the third grade decided the correct way to spell his first name was "Amedio," and made him start writing that name on school papers. His report cards from then on were with the new spelling. His father changed his own name from Giuseppe deAngelis to Joe Angelo sometime after Amedio was baptised. So then he became Amedio Frank Angelo. When the fourth child of Amedio and georgia was born they named him Amadeo Frank Angelo, Jr., using the original spelling.
