Death
ALBEMARLE -- Annie Lee Honbarrier Furr, 83, 740 N. Second St., died Monday (Aug. 16, 1999) at Britthaven of the Piedmont. Born Jan. 13, 1916, in Stanly County, Mrs. Furr was a daughter of the late Joseph Henry and Ila Lala Mae Sides Honbarrier. She had retired as a spinner hand at Wiscassett Mills. She later operated a child-care center. She was a member of Open Door Baptist Church, Richfield. Her husband, Crawford Cleo "Jack" Furr, died March 9, 1998. Survivors include son Marshall D. Furr, Albemarle; three grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. Services: Graveside, 4 p.m. Wednesday, Bethany United Methodist Church cemetery, conducted by the Rev. Darrell Huneycutt and the Rev. Charles Goodman. Visitation: 7-9 tonight, Hartsell Funeral Home. At other times the family will be at the home of son Marshall Furr, 1314 Old Charlotte Road.
