Notes
Death
Nona Pauline Rogers passed from this earthly life to her heavenly home with Christ her Savior on October 1, 2020. “Pauline” was born on August 31, 1932 to Claude and Nora Taylor in Chattanooga, Oklahoma. Her childhood came from humble beginnings as she was born during the great depression. She had fond memories of her childhood as she enjoyed her large musical family, hobbies that included riding horses, playing sports and roller-skating. Pauline began working as a young teen at the local soda fountain and then at the Coca Cola Bottling plant in Lawton, Oklahoma. At the age of 18 she met her late husband and was married on February 24th, 1950 in Purcell, Oklahoma. In the summer of 1954, Wilburn and Pauline welcomed their first-born, Randy and 20 months later a daughter named Renee. The last of their three children, Risa, was born in 1960 and their family was complete. During the fall of 1979, Pauline was invited to church where she came to know Christ and thus started her walk with him. When Pauline was 49 years old, Wilburn passed away and she soon found the most loving man, Joseph, which she married in February 1983. Their love was apparent to all and she will be dearly missed by Joe and all her family and friends. During Pauline’s adult years she became a very skilled and avid seamstress, where she owned her own business sewing custom drapes and bedding. Her hobbies included traveling, reading and socializing. Pauline’s passion in life was her walk with Christ, her husband, children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She could never pass up holding a baby and always wanted to be the first one called to babysit. Pauline will be remembered for her sharp wit, funny personality, story telling, positive outlook on life and most of all her love and selfless heart for her husband, children and grandchildren. Pauline is preceded in death by her mother, father and six siblings; Florence, Lois, Elbert, Delbert, Claudia and Jackie. She is survived by her husband, Joseph of 37 years, one brother, Doyle Taylor of Las Vegas, son Randy and wife Michelle Furr of Pleasanton, CA, daughter Renee Tucker of Oklahoma City, daughter Risa and husband Russell Demeter of Oklahoma City, grandchildren Brad Furr of Stockton, CA, Rebecca McEnerney of Dublin, CA, Courtney Rogers of Oklahoma City, Cameron Tucker of Anchorage, AK, Brooke and husband Ashton Mowdy of Oklahoma City, Libby and husband Dr. Mason Davis of Mustang, Josef McInturff of Moore, John Aimo of Chico, CA and Mike Aimo of Danville, CA. Pauline is also survived by her loving German family and a host of nieces and nephews. Funeral Services will be Monday, October 5, 2020 at 2:00 PM at Graceway Baptist Church.
