Martin Christopher RINTLEMAN

He went west about 1830. In 1832, applied for a pension for services as private, North Carolina line. His claim was allowed.

Last name appears as Randleman in the Organ Church Cemetery records. In the marriage records in Cabarrus County, NC it is spelled Rendleman. In the Rowan County, NC marriage records it is spelled Rintleman. Rev. Allbright's book also spells it Randleman. So take your pick.

In a book about the German settlers of North Carolina at the Arkansas History Commission is found:
MARTIN CHRISTOPHER MINTLEMAN, Born 25 Dec 1761 RNC, NC died either Polk Co. MO, or Randolph County, AR; mar. 12 Aug 1783 RNC, NC MARY (MAGDALENA) FURR.

LC NC DB 3:215 - 02 Jul 1787 - Martin Rendleman purchased 250 acres on middle fork of Killians Creek.

LC, NC DB 3:471 - 25 Oct 1788 - Martin Rendleman sold the 250 acres on Killians Creek and moved to Deer Creek, Livingston Co. KY. In 1803 at St. Clair Co. IL, he is said to have raised his first crop without a fence around it.

RWP #22016 - 05 Sep 1832 - St. Clair Co. IL, Martin Randleeman born 25 Dec 1761 RNC, NC, made application for pension. He later moved to Polk Co. MO.

Southern Illinois Pre-emption Report 1813 and Register of Application and Permission:
Martin Rendleman applied for 259 acre on 14 Nov 1807 at Kaskaskia; Jacob and Martin Rendleman (reputed sons of John and Nephews of Martin C. Rendleman) were there by 05 Feb 1813.
