Death
MESA. Jan. 18 — Oneita Knight Furr died in a local hospital last night, following a short illness. She was born in Montgomery, Ala., 32 vears ago, coming to Mesa with her family in 1929. Mrs. Furr was active in the Latter Day Saints Church, particularly with the primary groups in the Mutual Improvement Association. Survivors are her husband, Vernon C. Furr; four children, Richard, Shirley, Pamela and Vernieta; her mother, Mrs. Pearl Knight; four sisters, Mrs. Juanita Parker, of Phoenix, her twin, Mrs. Thora Cluff, Phoenix, Mrs. Francis Miller, Salt Lake City, and Mrs. Elvia Hopper, of Manteca, Calif.; three brothers, J. C. and Calvin Knight, of Mesa, and Walter McDade, of San Antonio, Tex.Arizona Republic, Phoenix, Arizona, January 19, 1947
