Death

ALBEMARLE — Paul Junior Furr,54, of Route 3 was dead on arrival 3:55 am today at Stanly Memorial Hospital. The funeral will be 11 am Saturday in Bear Creek Primitive Baptist Church Burial will be in the church cemetery. The family will be at Hartsell Funeral Home in Albemarle on Friday night from 6 to 8 o'clock. The body will be placed in the church 30 minutes before the service. Born Aug. 28, 1927, in Stanly County, he was a son of the late Paul Deberry and Mattie Page Furr. He was veteran of World War II and was employed by Propst Construction of Concord. Survivors include his wife, Ruby Furr Furr, one son, Bobby Dean Furr of Route 1 Richfield, one daughter. Mrs. Julia Ann Shankle of Route 3, Albemarle, two brothers, John Furr, Route 3 and Arthur J Furr, Route 6, both of Albemarle, three sisters, Mrs. Bertha Speights of Route 4 Albemarle, Mrs. Dora Belle Helms of Concord and Mrs. Bessie Almond of Route 1 Stanfield, and four granddaughters.
