Death

CONCORD - Hilda Furr Robinson, age 82, of Concord, passed away on Saturday, November 23, 2013 at Morningside Assisted Living in Concord. Mrs. Robinson was born January 3, 1931, to the late John Robert Furr and the late Ivey Dulin Furr. Hilda started as a teller at Old Concord National Bank on Union Street, then later to Bank of America working as a branch manager in several locations earning Assistant Vice President title with only a high school education. She was employed by Bank of America for 32 years. The family will receive friends at Roberta United Methodist Church, 3925 Cochran Rd. in Concord on Monday, November 25, 2013, from 2:30 pm until 4:00 p.m. The funeral service, officiated by Rev. David Cox, will follow at 4:00 p.m. in the church sanctuary. The burial will be held at the church cemetery. Survivors include son, Gary Robinson of Concord, NC; granddaughter, Kristen Lyn Robinson of Glendale, AZ; grandson, Michael David Robinson of Charlotte; brothers, Donald Furr of Anderson, SC, Kenneth Furr of Concord; and numerous nieces and nephews. Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Association , 3800 Shamrock Dr., Charlotte, NC 28215. Hartsell Funeral Home of Concord is serving the Robinson family.
