Donald Furr, 74, retired chairman and chief executive officer of Furr's Cafeterias of Lubbock, Texas, died July 30 in Annapolis, Md., of heart failure. From 1959 to 1985 Furr headed the company, which grew into the second-largest cafeteria chain in the United States. The chain has more than 90 locations in the West and Southwest.
