Death
George Furr died last Saturday afternoon after an illness of several months, and was buried Sunday in Lowe’s Grove.Independent Tribune, Concord, North Carolina, January 22, 1915
Love's Grove was the scene of two burials on January 17. It was that of Geo. F. Furr, Sr. and the five month old child of Mr. and Mrs. Bane Coley. The death of Mr. Furr was not unexpected as he had been stricken with paralysis nearly a year ago. He was a good, honest, Christian man, a devout member of Love's Grove church, where his presence was greatly missed when his pew was made vacant. A wife, one son and one daughter survive. He was sixty-one year of age. Rev. W. I. Hughes conducted the services from the church, both caskets being borne to the graves and lowered at the same time.
