Harbard B.Smith b.1812 Ga. d.8-16-1885 in Franklin Co. He is buried at the old Demascus Cemetery. His parents were Everett & Elizabeth Smith. Harbard's first wife's name is unknown, though I have been told it was Betty. Their children were;
1.Elizabeth ca 1834 married John Wilson.
2.Catherine ca 1836 married George L. Martin.
Harbard married 2nd Nancy Wooley on 6-18-1837 in Franklin Co. Their children were;
3.James Monroe (1837-1898) married Frances Janett Cupit.

6.Harbard Brunson (1846-1926) married Mary Linder.
Harbard married 3rd Frances "Fannie" Johnson in Franklin Co on 5-20-1846. Children were;
7.Nancy ca1847 married Robert Wooten.
8.Everett (1850-1919) married Decia Ann Linder.
9.Sarah Jane b.1851 married Nicholas Lazarus in 1867.
10.William Isom (1852-1905) married Matilda Elizabeth Rodriguez.

12.Robert Jeptha "Jep" b.1856 married Lucy martin.

searching for information on harbert brunson smith who married mary jane linder on march, 19, 1865 and died february 22, 1926.

I found Harbard Brunson Smith in early marriage records in Franklin County a good many years ago. I think it was his brother Everett who married my father's aunt Decy Linder. Since they lived near Damascus Church which is now in Lincoln County, I think, you may find Harbard there. My Linder cousins at aelind@bayou.com have done a lot of work on our family at that time--including Smiths--and can probably help you.
