Death
Services were held at 11 a.m. today at Moore Funeral Home chapel for Mrs. Josephine Hackney Furr, 79, of 406 Bouie St., who died Saturday at Green Forrest Convalescent Home after a lengthy illness. The Rev. John Burke officiated, with interment following in Oak Lawn Cemetery. Mrs. Furr was a native of Wesson and was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Survivors include a sister, Mrs. Van Strahan Sr. of Hattiesburg, and a number of nieces and nephews.Hattiesburg American, Hattiesburg, Mississippi, July 6, 1981
